The smart shopping baskets provide a way for shoppers to scan products as they shop, and the checkout consists of quick automated security check and payment. Object familiar to the customer (basket) and a great user experience guarantee high adoption rate. The solution will be plug&play integrable with the majority of existing operator-led and self-checkout stations, broadening the market.

Competitors struggle with shoppers’ adoption and store integration. Decision makers at three Croatian retailers and at a large Croatian IT company were very interested in the solution (meeting within 7 days of contact). The team is preparing a case study in the next 3 months and plans a wider expansion starting Q3 2018.

Luka was among the finalists of AHK Innovation award for start-ups in 2017 and one of the winners of Startup Factory Zagreb in 2017. Since he received the latter award through which  he obtained generous financial and other support, Luka has worked on product features and made a successful rebranding.
